A blazing British freighter, the “Tudor Prince,” carrying chemicals, explosives and fertilizer, was unloaded of her dangerous cargo in the port here and then towed back to sea. The vessel caught fire four days ago while on the high seas and the explosive-unloading operation was carried out here despite the danger of imminent explosion. The port of Haifa fire brigade continued to cool the ship’s sides during the seaward towing operation, since the temperature of the sides had reached a dangerous level.
