Notwithstanding all assurances to the contrary, the law providing for an enforced rest on Sunday, are to go into effect. In reality, this means that in the future all Jewish shops, stores, children’s schools, etc., etc. will have to be closed two days in the week, Saturday and Sunday.
The Jewish merchants’ association has nevertheless decided to continue strict observance of the Sabbath and not permit themselve to be influenced to desecrate the Sabbath despite the fact that they must keep their places of business closed on Sunday as well.
