Postponement of the observance of the 100th anniversary of B’nai B’rith, which was to have been celebrated throughout the country on October 13, until after the war was announced here today by Henry Monsky, president of B’nai B’rith.

Decision to put off the observance of the centennial of the nation’s oldest and largest national Jewish organization for the duration was made at a meeting of the B’nai B’rith Central Administrative Board. The Board voted to postpone the 100th anniversary celebration in the following resolution;

“The Central Administrative Board has determined to postpone our centennial celebration and hopes to make our centennial celebration a victory celebration, which we hope will be participated in on a national scale by all the District Grand Lodges, lodges, auxiliaries, Hillel Foundations and chapters of Aleph Zadik Aleph.”
