A shipload of rice valued at $115,000 will he sent to the people of Israel by B’nai B’rith district number seven on Dec. 30, the organization’s national office announced here over the week-end. An Israeli Government ship will sail directly from New Orleans to Haifa with 600 tons of rice, the announcement said. The rice was contributed in 100-pound sacks from members of the district which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisianna, Mississippi and Tennessee.
