B’nai Brith Leaders Leave for Tour of Canada

Senator Alfred M. Cohen, president of the Independent Order B’nai Brith and Dr. Boris D. Bogen, Executive Secretary of the Order, left for a tour of the principal cities in Canada, to stimulate interest in the Order’s educational and cultural work.

President Cohen will deliver an address in Montreal on Sunday, December 2, and in Toronto on December 3. On the way back to the States, Mr. Cohen and Dr. Bogen will pay another visit to Buffalo where the B’nai Brith leaders spoke on Friday night at the Temple before going to Canada.

A conference of the National Wider Scope Committee, the body which is carrying on the $2,000.000 campaign for the extension of the work of the fraternal order, will be held early in January, it was announced at I. O. B. B. headquarters here. The date and place of the conference will be determined during this month. It is also viewed as possible that a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Constitution Grand Lodge will be held at the same date and place.

New lodges of the I. O. B. B. established during the past six months were announced by the Order’s headquarters here. They are: Long Island Lodge, Jamaica, L. I.; Austin Lodge, Chicago; Rockford Lodge, Rockford, Ill.; Monterey County Lodge, San Pedro, Cal. New lodges abroad are Shanghai Lodge, Shanghai, China; Unitas Lodge, Satu Mare, Roumania and Hillel Lodge, Botosani, Roumania.
