Mayor Camillien House of Montreal will welcome delegates and visitors to the eighty-second annual convention of B’nai B’rith District Grand Lodge No. 1 at the opening session at 9:30 o’clock Sunday morning in the ball room of the Mount Royal Hotel. Joseph Cohen, K.C.M.L.A., will represent the Province of Quebec. This is the first time in the history of the B’nai B’rith Order that a district convention is being held in Montreal. It will continue for three days.
Special religious services will be held Saturday morning at the Shaar Hashomayim, Shaare Zion and Portuguese Synagogues.
Sunday morning’s session will be followed by a luncheon for delegates. On Sunday evening the convention banquet and ball will take place. Joseph H. Dillon, K.C.M.L.A., member without portfolio in the Quebec Cabinet, will be a guest of honor. Richard E. Gudstadt of Chicago, executive director of the anti-Defamation League, will speak.
