The religious school of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, which was chartered by New York State as the first Jewish synagogue in America using the Ashkenazic ritual in 1825, will hold a Chanukah pageant Sunday afternoon which will portray the history of the congregation.

The following afternoon the sisterhood will hold its celebration with a symposium on the subject, “Women’s Part in the Making of a Better World.” Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt will participate.

On Tuesday evening Rev. Jacob Schwartz, cantor, will conduct an evening of Hebrew liturgical choral music to be rendered by the B’nai Jeshurun choir.

The celebration will close with a banquet December 16, at which Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, spiritual leader at the congregation from 1893 to 1900, will speak. Sol M. Stroock, chairman of the board of directors of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and honorary secretary of the congregation, will be chairman.
