The Board of Estimate Friday approved the application of Justice Isaac M. Kapper of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court to retire January 1 after twenty-five years of service on the bench.
Justice Kapper, who recently passed his seventieth birthday, was elected to the Supreme Court bench in 1909 and ten years ago was elevated to the Appellate Division of the court. His salary as an Appellate Division justice is $24,500 per annum. His retirement allowance, which has not yet been fixed, would be approximately half that amount annually.
