Dr. Israel Feldman, chairman of the Palestine Committee of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, speaking today on an overseas broadcast of the British Broadcasting Company, declared that while the Government’s decision to set up the Palestine regiment does not fully meet Jewish demands, it “constitutes an encouraging step towards fulfillment of Palestine Jewry’s desire to fully cooperate in the fight against Nazism and the defense of their country.”
