The body of Dr. Ariel Benzion, prominent writer and Zionist worker who died in Paris on November 9th, arrived in Palestine yesterday where impressive funeral services were held.
The body, accompanied by his wife, was brought to Tel Aviv yesterday morning and services were held in the Great Synagogue there. A eulogy was delivered by Rabbi Usiel.
Funeral services were held later in the day in Jerusalem. There eulogies were delivered by Nahum Sokolow in behalf of the Jewish Agency and the Palestine Foundation Fund, whose representative Dr. Benzion was; by Rabbi Ostrowsky in behalf of the Palestine Jewish National Council; by Rabbi Levy in behalf of the World Confederation of Sephardic Jews, and by David Yellin.
The funeral cortege paused before the headquarters of the Palestine Foundation Fund whom the deceased represented since its foundation. Interment was on the Mount of Olives.
