The body of Leopold Auer, famous violin teacher who died here recently, will be taken to New York for final interment. His widow announced yesterday that she would sail for New York aboard the steamship Reliance on Aug. 12 with the body of her husband.
The hundreds of expressions of sympathy which have poured in here from American friends immediately after Professor Auer died, said Mrs. Auer, have convinced her that his final resting place should be New York. The exact date of the burial has not yet been announced.
