Body of Moshe Goldwasser Returned to Israel; Israeli Soldier Killed on Monday Identified

The body of an Israeli pilot shot down by the Egyptians over the Suez Canal last month was returned to Israel today under Red Cross auspices. The pilot, Moshe Goldwasser, was captured but died in an Egyptian prison. The Egyptians said the cause of death was heart failure. An Israeli soldier killed in Monday night’s raid on Arab guerrilla bases in Lebanon was identified today as Sgt. Yair Pannet. He is the son of an Army Reserve Colonel. Yehezkel Pannet, who heads the housing department in northern Israel. An Arab guerrilla was killed last night near Rafah in the Gaza Strip by a Bedouin watchman. The guerrilla was shot after he threw a grenade. The incident was the first in which a Bedouin repulsed an attack by guerrillas.
