The liquidation of the relief work carried on by the Joint Distribution Committee in Russia will prove disastrous, Dr. Boris Bogen, the Committee’s representative in this country, asserted in the course of an interview with the Bereditcheff correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. In bereditcheff alone, states the report, Dr. Bogen found 35,000 Jewish children urgently in need of constant care. Scores of medical institutions are in a desperate position. Jews of all classes, including physicians, demand that the Joint Distribution Committee continue its work, Dr. Bogen declares.
