Five persons were injured, one of them critically, when a bomb exploded this afternoon in Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda market. The injured included two men, a woman and her two children. The bomb exploded at 2:40 p.m. at a time when the usually-crowded market was thinning out. The market has been a frequent target of terrorists. Only yesterday, a large explosive device was safely defused after it was found near a vendor’s stand.
