Passengers in a Jewish bus en route to Jerusalem from the Givat Shaul suburb narrowly escaped death or serious injury yesterday from a bomb thrown while the bus passed an Arab school.
Arab leaders of Haifa and Acre today decided to call for an Arab general strike in both towns in pretest against the detention of 96 young Arabs in St. John’s Prison, at Acre, the Havas News Agency reported. The prisoners now are on a hunger strike.
