The posthumous publication of “Ideals and Idols of the National Socialist Revolution” by Alfred Rosenberg, notorious Hitler “racial expert” who was hanged for war crimes including the murder of millions of Jews, will be investigated by the West German Federal Constitutional Court. This was announced in Parliament by the Bonn Interior Ministry after queries had been made into the display of the Nazi book at the Frankfurt Book Fair this year.
Klaus Petri, author of a strongly Nazi article which was featured on the front page of the University “Bulletin” here, has left the University rather than appear before a special disciplinary committee. At the same time, University authorities have announced that the “Bulletin” will be supervised more carefully in the future. The district attorney has refused to act against the “Bulletin” on the grounds that “nothing in the penal code prohibits the glorification of National Socialism.” the article has aroused considerable comment in Germany.
