Israel will receive a total of 250, 000, 000 deutsche-marks ($62.5 million) in German reparations during the next fiscal year, according to the ninth annual protocol negotiated under the Reparations Agreement between Israel and West Germany. Announcement of the completion of the agreement was made here today by Dr. F. Shinnar, Israeli Minister, who heads his country’s purchasing mission here.
Under the agreement, West Germany will supply to Israel steel and iron valued at 44, 000, 000 marks ($11, 000, 000), chemical products worth 35, 000, 000 marks ($8. 9 million), and 75, 000, 000 marks worth ($18. 7 million) of oil which, it is stipulated, will come from British sources.
