A decision by the Israel Bar Association permitting its members to represent German firms or individuals was welcomed by German business and diplomatic circles here. The original 1946 ban was renewed only last year.
Modification of the ban was suggested by the Foreign Office and Ministry of Justice in Jerusalem, it is understood, in view of the problems arising from the delivery of reparations goods, the provision of spare parts and the beginning of normal trade outside of reparations channels.
