“Jews in the USSR,” a book by B.Z. Goldberg, New York writer, will be issued here in a Spanish translation, according to an announcement today by Dr. Asher Mibashan, director of the Candelabra Publishing House. The volume, published in English in the United States two years ago, is an expose of Soviet persecutions against the Jewish population of the USSR.
The Candelabra announcement was made today as other elements of Argentine Jewry marked the tenth anniversary of the execution of Russian Jewish writers and other cultural leaders by Soviet authorities under the late Joseph Stalin, in 1952. Special issues dedicated to those tragic events were issued today by El Diario Israelita and Die Yiddishe Presse, DAIA, the central organization of Argentine Jewry, issued a statement condemning the murder of the Jewish writers and cultural leaders in Soviet Russia.
