Boris Katzman, veteran Zionist and friend of Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of the modern Zionist movement, died in Rehoboth today at the age of 59. Mr. Katzman died on a farm in Rehoboth, a colony which his father had founded. A few months ago, he married Ruth Light, an American painter. It was his second marriage.
Mr. Katzman was one of the most colorful figures in the Zionist movement, and worked in close association with Dr. Herzl.
He was born in Russia, in the Ukraine, in 1874, the son of a wealthy Jewish landowner. While
