Cardinal Cushing was named by the Jewish Advocate of Boston this week as its “Man of the Year.” The citation declared: “If the Cardinal’s noble thoughts against racial antipathy and creedal strife could be put into the hearts of every man and child, then verily would we arrive at the long overdue recognition that we are all children of One Loving Father to enjoy the pleasantness of brethren living together in peace.”
