Both Houses of the Michigan State Legislature unanimously adopted a resolution saluting The Detroit Jewish News on its 25th anniversary. Co-sponsors of the joint resolution in both Houses were Senator Raymond D. Dzendzel and Representatives Albert A. Kramer, R. Stevens, Jack Faxon, Daniel Cooper and Mrs. Josephine D. Hunsinger.
Enumerating The Jewish News’ contributions to Michigan, America and the Jewish people since the publication of its first issue on March 27, 1942, the concurrent resolution pays honor to the editor of The Jewish News and to the paper, which is Michigan’s only Jewish newspaper, “for outstanding services to the people of Michigan and for its effectiveness in The Great Amalgamation of peoples, which is Michigan’s and America’s strength.”
