Extension of the anti-Nazi program to Rumania unless its anti-Jewish program is abandoned was demanded today in a resolution unanimously adopted by the first annual conference of the American Jewish Congress New England division, attended by more than 1,000 delegates from some 200 organizations. Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the Congress, pleaded for American protection of Rumanian Jews, in an address to the banquet closing the two day meeting.
