A bequest of $100,000 left by the late Jacob Franks, who died here last year, is to go to the American Boys’ Commonwealth as a memorial to Bobbie Franks, for whose death Richard Loeb and Nathan Leopold are now serving life sentences in Joliet Penitentiary. Mr. Franks left instructions in his will for the $100,000 memorial to his son.
A part of the sum will be devoted to erecting a clubhouse and an athletic field to be called the Robert Franks Memorial Field.
