A group of leading United States clergymen and sociologists this weekend discussed “Religion on the American Campus” at a special three day institute organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Brandeis University’s Three Chapels. The gathering ended today. The university used the occasion of the Three Chapels anniversary celebration to present its citation for Distinguished Service to Higher Education to several guests of honor, including Richard Cardinal Cushing.
Sixty priests, ministers, rabbis and other professionally-oriented persons from university student religious groups, faculty members from Brandeis and other universities, and others, took part in the general discussions throughout the weekend.
