Brandeis University will launch a “traveling university” in Israel next summer, when a select number of Brandeis juniors will go to Israel to study and travel in the Jewish State under the instruction of members of the Brandeis faculty, according to announcement made here today by Dr. Abram L. Sachar, president of the university.
The program has been underwritten by an initial $250,000 grant from Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hiatt, of Worcester, Mass. In its second year of operation, Dr. Sachar said, the program will be opened to qualified students regardless of race, color or creed, from any. accredited American college or university.
