The Ford Foundation has granted Brandeis University a quarter of a million dollars to send an advisory team of experts to the Dominican Republic to assist the new government of Juan Bosch, the first elected president of that nation since Gen.Rafael Trujillo’s assassination in 1961.

Brandeis president Abram L. Sachar, who made the announcement at the university’s commencement banquet in Boston’s Statler Hilton Hotel, said that the special team is being created in response to President Bosch’s belief that his nations greatest need at the present time is for the formation of “intellectual capital. “
