Brandeis University announced today it had received a gift of $400,000 to underwrite a chair in political science and that the first incumbent would be Max Lerner, who has been on the faculty for the past decade.
Funds for the “Max Richter Chair in Political Science” were provided by the will of the New York industrialist and philanthropist and were assigned to the University by his widow, Mrs. Reba Richter. The chair supports instruction in international relations.
