Charles Bray Ill confirmed today to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that he was leaving his post as chief State Department spokesman and special assistant to the Secretary of State but said he was “not necessarily” leaving the State Department or the foreign service. The 39-year-old career foreign service officer said he would leave his post Sept. 3, the day Secretary of State William P. Rogers’ resignation takes effect. Bray, who has been in the foreign service 15 years, told newsmen earlier that he was leaving because he didn’t like the “style” of Secretary of State-designate, Dr. Henry A. Kissinger. There will be no News Bulletin Sept. 3, Labor Day.
