A law prohibiting incitement of one part of the population against another and calling for confiscation of the property of newspapers which incite against religious groups was introduced in Parliament today. The new measure, it is hoped in Jewish circles, will end anti-Semitism in Brazil.
Jews in Brazil have suffered particularly from a violent anti-Semitic campaign carried on here by the Nazis among the German immigrant population. The new law, it is felt, will end Nazi incitements once and for all.
