The campaign of the committee organized here at the request of the Yiddish School Organization of Poland, to collect funds to aid the Yiddish schools in Poland has made a good start. A sizeable sum has already been raised.
In the past, representatives of the Polish organization have visited Brazil annually in order to raise funds for the Polish schools. The Brazilian Jews, who never yet have ignored a cry for help, have always sent the representatives home with a substantial sum. This year the campaign is being conducted by former members of the Polish Bund (Jewish Workers’ Party) who are now here.
