Criticism of the Brazilian naturalization law which categorizes naturalized persons as second-class citizens, was voiced in Parliament here by Socialist deputy Ozorio Borba. He pointed out that this distinction deprives naturalized citizens of certain rights.
Sr. Borba told Parliament that the Socialists favor an amendment introduced by deputy Castilio Cabral under which all restrictions against naturalized citizens would be eliminated with the exception of the right to run for the offices of President or Vice President of the republic and governor or vice governor of any state.
