Dr. Leopold Rosemak, Bremen rabbi and immigration representative of the German “Hilfsverein” died aboard ship on his way back from America to Germany. News of his tragic death was received by the “Hias” from Bremen.
Dr. Rosemak was returning from America, where he had come in the interest of more than 8,000 Jewish immigrants who are now virtually stranded in Bremen.
During the war, Dr. Rosemak was a chaplain in the German army.
