The Fifteenth convention of the Jewish Socialist Labor Party, Poale Zion of the United States and Canada, will be held in New York from the 27th to the 31st of December at Town Hall.

Mr. Berel Locker, the General Secretary of the World Confederation, Poale Zion, who is expected to arrive in the United States on December 13th, will report on the latest developments in Palestine.

The Committee for the Care of Jewish Tuberculous dedicated its new factory in the Brenx for its charges and has opened for operation, emplaying about eighty patients.

The committee said this is the only rehabilitative factory for the handicapped in the United States whose output has been successfully placed upon the competitive market. The output consists of washable garments suitable for hospital, hotel and similar uses.

A regent “Three Soore Years and Ten”, portraying incidents of the history of Temple Israel, Boston. Mass., since its inception in 1854, was presented to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Congregation.

A dinner celebrating the taking of title to the three city blocks which have been secured for the Yeshira of America which the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theolcgical Seminary is going to build on Amsterdam Avenue, New York, N. Y., will be given Sunday night. December 21, at the Hotel Astor.

The dinner is being given by the Sire Committee of the Yeshira Building Fund Committee, of which Harry Fischel is Chairman.

Miss Mollie Wineberg M. A., a Winnipeg Jewish girl, was appointed as Assistant Professor in the physical research department, University of Manitoba, for the year BC4-5. She will be assistant to Professor Frank Allen, head of the Department. Miss Wineberg is the only Jewish woman in Canada to hold a University position.

Darid Einborn, well-known Jewish poet and correspondent of the “Forward” in Germany, arrived on the “Aquitania” yesterday. Eimhom will spend six months in the United States on a lecture tour.
