Bernard Trager, newly-elected president of the local section of the American Jewish Congress, is beginning his administration with a membership campaign, in which he will be assisted by other officers of the organization—Mrs. Joseph G. Shapiro, vice-president; William Cohn, vice-president; Samuel Carp, treasurer, and Sol Rosenzweig, secretary.
Every effort will be made, according to Mr. Trager, to enlist all Bridgeport Jews in Congress work. Plans will also be made for a youth division.
Bridgeport Jewry will also be enlisted in the popular election for the American Jewish Congress, which will be held next April.
