Brig. Gen. David Sarnoff was this week-end named national chairman of the 1951 Red Cross Fund Campaign which will be held March 1-31. The announcement of the appointment was made by General of the Armiss George C. Marshall, in his capacity of president of the American Red Cross.
Gen. Sarnoff, who is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the Radio Corporation of America, declared in his letter of acceptance: “I shall be glad to do my part in helping to raise the funds which will enable this great humanitarian organization to carry out the heavy responsibilities entrusted to it in these critical times.”
