The small Jewish community of this city has dedicated a monument to the memory of the six million Jews who died in the Nazi holocaust. The monument was built through the efforts of a small group of concentration camp survivors with the support of the native Jewish community. It was unveiled by the president of the Brisbane Hebrew Congregation, A. Newhouse.
