Prime Minister Sir Anthony Eden and French Premier Guy Mollet expressed their desire today “to see an end of the Arab-Israel conflict and the establishment of a stable peace” in the Middle East. They made this statement today in a communique issued after a day of conversation between the two government leaders yesterday.
The communique said that they had reviewed the tripartite talks currently going in Washington. In addition, the communique stressed the importance of economic action in the Middle East within the framework of regional organizations to which either Britain or France belong.
