The “Daily Mail’s” political writers are authority for the statement that the British government is considering the proposal that an inquiry be made into the working of the British Mandate in Palestine, following the suggestion of Lord Balfour, Lloyd George and General Smuts. It is urged that questions of policy and administration be examined and that a considerable readjustment of the administrative machine may be necessary. The Shaw Commissioners are due in London Saturday and their report is expected to be of assistance to the government in coming to a decision on the new commission.
