Palestine visas for Americans wishing to study in that country will no longer be granted by the British Government, it was reported here today.
The new British ruling was made known by the American Friends of the Hebrew University which said it had teen informed by the University in Jerusalem that student visas for U.S. citizens would no longer be extended “for security reasons.” More than 100 prospective students in this country are affected by the ban, it was pointed out here.
Sir Leon Simon, chairman of the university’s Executive Council, who left the U.S. today, declared that “we will continue to process students applications from the United States in the hope and expectation that the order may be rescinded.”
