Foreign Undersecretary Richard A. Butler, replying to a question by Laborite Col. Josiah Wedgwood in Commons, said today the Foreign Secretary had no information on the reported execution of at least 800 Jews by the Nazis in the Polish town of Przemysl before the arrival of the Soviet forces, but was asking for a report on the subject.
Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald, asked by Col. Wedgwood about the sentencing of 43 members of the Palestine Jewish labor federation for carrying arms, said the sentences were imposed by a military court, subject to the confirmation of the General Officer in Command, who had not yet taken a decision.
