The British Government has sent medical supplies to Kaunas by airplane for Polish refugees in Lithuania, it was announced here today by the World OZE Union, Jewish health protection society.

The Lithuanian OZE had forwarded a request to London enumerating certain indispensable medicaments which were not available in Lithuania. These supplies were purchased through the £100,000 fund put at the disposal of the Polish Relief Committee by the British Government.

Special instructions were sent to the relief committee’s representative in Kaunas emphasizing that there should be no discrimination among the refugees as to race or religion. A special committee was set up in Kaunas, comprising the Lithuanian Red Cross, the Polish Relief Committee and the OZE, to supervise distribution of the medicaments.
