Britain Spent $5,000,000 to Aid Refugees Since the Outbreak of War

The British Government has spent about five million dollars since October, 1939 to aid refugees, it was announced in the House of Commons today by Richard K. Law, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs.

Declaring that it is impossible to ascertain the exact number of Polish Jews massacred by the Nazis in occupied Poland since the outbreak of the war, Mr. Law stated that it is estimated that more than one million Jews have been killed by the Nazis in Polish territory.
