An inquiry into the conduct of troops escorting interned Jews to Australia aboard the S.S. Dunera was promised today by War Secretary David Margesson, replying in the House of Commons to Col. Josiah Wedgwood, Laborite, who said internees luggage had been ripped open with bayonets and the internees deprived of money, watches, valuables and much clothing.
