The four-day 71st annual convention of B’rith Abraham, Jewish fraternal organization, opened here today with 1,500 delegates from 300 lodges throughout the country in attendance. The convention will salute Israel on its tenth anniversary.
In his annual message opening the session. Grand Master Leo S. Spooner declared that the “Order must increase its efforts in behalf of Jewish life in America. We must render service in line with our historic heritage.” Mr. Spooner also read to the convention a message from Vice President Richard M. Nixon.
