A three-day convention of Brith Sholom, Jewish fraternal order, concluded here with the adoption of 24 resolutions dealing with civil liberties and the Arab-Israel situation. The convention urged that Federal aid for education be denied to school districts practicing segregation and demanded liberalization of the present immigration laws.
In other resolutions, the convention also called upon the United States Government to oust Arab officials “who use their official positions to slander Americans of the Jewish faith,” and urged that permission be given to Israel to purchase arms to “deter her hostile Arab neighbors from executing their announced plans for aggression against Israel.”
