The British occupation authorities in Germany have agreed to enact legislation, paralleling that of the United States, dealing with the restitution of property to victims of Nazi persecution, it was learned today. The text of the new law will be published soon.
The proposed legislation, however, will only permit the transfer to Israel of reparations in the form of German goods, since money cannot be sent out of the Reich.
