The British School of Archaeology will carry on excavations in the south of Palestine during the coming winter, according to Sir Flinders Petrie, famous British archaeologist, in a letter to the London “Times.”
Southern Palestine is of great historic interest, he says. The vicinity has numerous ancient mounds of the earliest barbarian civilization. Every facility for the excavations is cordially accorded by the Palestine authorities.
