The dominions of the British Commonwealth of Nations, as well as the British Government, will participate in the international refugee-aid conference called by President Roosevelt at Evian, France, beginning July 6, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain disclosed in the House of Commons.

The Prime Minister, replying to a request of Eleanor Rathbone, Independent, declined to convene a conference of dominion representatives to formulate an imperial policy on admission and employment of refugees. He declared this matter would be decided by each dominion, while discussion of the problem was foreseen at the Evian conference.

The disclosure that the four dominions will participate in the conference brings to 33 the number of governments which will take part in the international effort for facilitating emigration of refugees initiated by the United States Government on March 23.
