Foreign Secretary Herbert Morrison said last night that one of the ways in which Britain is trying to establish a stable peace throughout the world is by promoting the well-being of the people of the Middle East and by working for security in that area. He expressed regret that Israel and the Arab nations are not yet at peace.

Goorgo C. McGhee, Assistant Secretary of State in charge of Middle East affairs, arrived here from his trip to the Middle Eastern countries. Today he called upon high officials in the British Foreign Office and discussed with them the general situation in the Arab countries and Israel.
